IMechE is a professional membership organisation focused on improving the world through engineering. By developing engineers, promoting engineering, representing the profession and encouraging innovation, it is enabling its 115k-strong membership base to drive forward life-transforming change and help solve some of the biggest challenges facing society.
IMechE’s media brand, Professional Engineering, is designed to celebrate and interrogate all things engineering. From a bimonthly magazine tackling issues such as climate change, future energy and mental health to daily online content, a weekly content-rich e-newsletter, social media amplification and virtual events, members can access current expert thinking at a time and place that works for them.
With up to 89k page views per month to the website, the magazine covering industry exclusives and commercial revenues up 34% overall (713% digitally) over the past four years – not to mention a healthy stream of messages and feedback from the highly engaged membership community – the content programme is working hard to support IMechE’s agenda for change.
And, with initiatives such as the largest virtual careers fair for engineers (EngRec) and a series of forward-thinking webinar weeks called Engineering Futures, the Professional Engineering team have extended the reach of IMechE’s messaging to brand-new audiences, helping draw more talent into the industry.
